Mectron Engineering PTE LTD, a valued partner of Hidrostal since 1984, celebrates its 40th anniversary of collaboration with Hidrostal this year. Renowned as a full-service provider of pumping solutions, Mectron has played a crucial role over the past four decades in establishing Hidrostal's presence in Southeast Asia, particularly in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Sammy Leung of Tenson Engineering, Hong Kong and Leodie De Leon of ABC Comodities are instrumental in success in their respective countries are associated with Mectron for 35 years.
Hidrostal and Mectron have collaborated on numerous new product developments in the 1990s and early 2000s. A key milestone in the partnership was the first order of a Hidrostal M700 pump in 1998. Since then, Mectron Engineering has become a reliable and professional partner, contributing to Hidrostal’s marine business development.
One of the most significant joint projects was the supply of approximately 125 Hidrostal pumps, including 10 numbers of HIDROSTAL M700 pumps, for one of the largest wastewater treatment plants in the world at the time, the Changi Water Reclamation Plant in Singapore. Other notable success of special projects delivered to Thailand , Vietnam and Bangla Desh
Hidrostal takes great pride in its long-standing relationship with Mectron Engineering and the successful cooperation throughout the years. To mark the occasion, Hidrostal invited William Tan and Albert Hadianto from Mectron to a celebratory dinner at a fine restaurant in Zurich, where they were presented with a special gift – a "golden" impeller – as a symbol of appreciation for the invaluable partnership over the last 40 years.
